Expert Masterclass: Discretionary Waivers & How to Succeed


Discretionary waiver is a mechanism, whereby in exceptional circumstances,
DfC can exercise its discretion to ‘waive’ recovery of all or part of an overpaid
benefit.

📅 Delivered by an experienced practitioner, this 1hr 30 mins practical session will explain the discretionary waiver process, outline the factors considered by DfC when making a decision, and provide guidance on preparing and presenting a strong waiver request to maximise the likelihood of a successful outcome.
